The papers of Rev. Nathaniel Huntting, 1675-1753, of East Hampton, Long Island, and his grandson (?), Rev. Jonathan Huntting, of East Hampton and Southold. Nathaniel Huntting's papers include sermons, 1708-1711, 1717, 1720, 1744; account books, 1697-1739; a farm record of livestock and crops, 1709-1746; "An account of kindnesses received from people in Easthampton," 1701-1741; diary of church business, 1741-1746; and notes and essays on philosophical, theological, and civic issues, 1694-1718. Jonathan Huntting's papers consist of correspondence, 1803-1849, mostly on church affairs and religious issues. Also includes a book of sermons, 1658-ca.1669, and sermons preached by Samuel Deane of Portland, Maine, 1803, 1811.
